I started fernworks over 8-9 years ago. I create a unique line of jewelry which combines real found objects and tiny hand painted scenes into thick layers of resin. I use teeny brushes and toothpicks to create little 3-D landscapes and scenes of birds, foxes, bears, and other creatures. I also have a line in which I embed real objects in resin like moss, bones, plants, wasp nests, etc. My work is dreamy, natural, sometimes mysterious, sometimes sweet, & sometimes a little dark... People compare the work to little dioramas, reliquaries, or little "scientific specimens."

Robert says: "I like to tell people that I'm a fella who is craft driven, design inspired, vintage obsessed and cake possessed. Professionals are being brought in to exorcise the cake situation, but all of those other descriptors are running rampant. I'm an arts and crafts professional with an education in studio arts and art history who has been fortunate to work in creative fields all of my life – from appraiser of modern and contemporary art for 13 years to web video producer. I now produce and present on-camera DIY tutorials for the YouTube audience, inspiring people to tackle creative projects in the lifestyle arena (home, office, family, entertaining, holiday)."

"As soon as I started my project with Aeolidia, I knew I was in good hands. Not only did the company have experience working with the same kinds of artisans and small businesses that I wanted to include on my website, but everyone on the team was so incredibly professional, responsive and organized. Every question, concern or request that I had, no matter how small or large, was addressed quickly. I loved that I knew exactly where things were with the project at any given time and what was expected of me. Christine and Shoshanna worked to create something beautiful and functional that ended up exceeding all my expectations.
I also can't say enough about how helpful my mojo sessions with Jena were. In the beginning, I was a little skeptical that they were necessary, but I soon realized that the suggestions she had for promoting and growing my site were invaluable. I know I still have a lot to learn, but she gave me a great foundation. And considering how much continuing education costs these days, it was actually a bargain!
Aeolidia is such a great company, with super-nice people, and I feel so fortunate to have been able to work with them."

Tickled Pink Paper & Ink
"I had an amazingly wonderful experience working with the Aeolidia team! They really listened to the vision I had in mind for my site and then took my ideas and pushed them to the next level. They are truly experts in all the facets that go into building a site and very well organized. I really appreciated their attention to the details and their patience with me as I tried to keep up with all of the new information and decisions that had to be made."

"Aeolidia did an amazing job on my website re-design! I really appreciate the very thorough list of questions asked before the work even began. There were many things I hadn't considered, and wouldn't have known to ask about without this. My only regret is that I didn't think about SEO during the design process and I'm now going back to figure out where i can do things differently to gain more organic traffic.
Overall, the website turned out even better than I hoped for - from Julie's beautifully styled shots, to Lauren & Shalon's designs, and the way Chris made everything work as it should. Best of all, the site is easy to maintain. After two years struggling with Magento, this is my favorite part."

"Eva, Jon and the entire Aeolidia gang were wonderful to work with. I have a limited knowledge of how a website works and they were there to hold my hand the entire way. I always felt taken care of and appreciated. It was a lovely experience overall."
-- Avis Wampler
"I worked with Mariah and Aeolidia for Logo, Branding & Identity and it was a joy to work with them. They were highly professional, very well organized and I loved the transparency of the whole process. It was always clear to me who was responsible for what and by when. Mariah knew what questions to asked and guided me beautifully through the process of creating a logo that is perfect for us. I couldn't be happier – or more grateful, and I would highly recommend them."

"After 5 years of experiencing an evolving business, it became apparent that we'd outgrown our website. I wanted a site that really signified who we are as a company and at the same time offer features that catalog our past, highlight our present and reflect our future. I feel like Aeolidia helped me achieve all my goals. Christine really seemed to understand me and delivered a beautiful, clean and modern design. Shoshanna was a veritable miracle worker in making things happen the way I wanted them to. I very much loved the collaborative and friendly atmosphere. I felt that both my desires and needs were met beautifully and the response to our efforts has been really well received- what else could I ask for?"

Etch Design Lab
"Etch is a collaboration between an artist and an interior designer, and we both worried that we'd have a hard time leaving the designing of our web identity and brand to someone we didn't even know. But, we knew how important it was to call in the professionals, since it wasn't within our area of expertise, and we really hoped that our website would "wow" potential clients. Even so, we both had a LOT of hopes and dreams for our branding, given in extreme detail! We are still in awe of how Lauren and Margot were able to translate our conversations into something that feels so close to us, that it's as if the logo and website have always been ours. That's an amazingly exciting thing."

"Originally, the words were created from two words, prism and chimera, to describe the idea that this business was a fantasy or a dream that I've had, a world where I could create anything. And prism symbolized the multifaceted possibilities! I like the idea of using something that has to do with a prism (but avoiding things like diamonds, since the primary work that I do is not fine jewelry.)"
