Jon Manning

Jon started in web development as a designer for two years before moving on to front end development and programming. Development and programming satisfy his love for puzzles and patterns. The first website he built from scratch was for his record label Lost Sound Tapes. He loves playing the baritone ukulele and DJs a weekly show on Hollow Earth Radio.

"I have nothing negative or constructive to say. I think it looks totally awesome. My husband and I are looking at it and literally grinning from ear to ear. I think this is the winner. THANK YOU!!"

Meander Works

Meander Works

"During my tenure at Penland I made a series of large scale drawings. In my previous (college / art school) experience, we were encouraged to "think outside the frame" so I got used to pinning pieces to the wall or pursuing some alternative means to display my work.

Every time I had the drawings critiqued by visiting artists or peers, the person giving the critique would encourage me to seek a framer. I resisted (I guess I thought that was a boring solution) and when I gave in my drawings suddenly looked legitimate. It was like seeing them in formal wear! They looked so tight and so professional.

Essentially seeing my jewelry in the context of the new website is just like seeing my drawings framed. Wow! Mind you, I used a great framer then and obviously the best web designers this go round!

The other thing that happened when I framed these drawings is that they sold! I am hoping that the website will give further legitimacy to my business (resulting in sales) in addition to providing a nice home for my jewelry."

Everyday Love

Everyday Love
Nidhi Chanani's business is her illustration! The main focus of her site is to show her work. She creates artwork nearly every week day and shares it across multiple networks. She has a strong fan base that loves getting her daily emails and following her work via social media. Her secondary goal for the site was to sell her prints and greeting cards.

Eva of Sycamore Street Press and her designer, Christine, had such a great rapport. About the design, Christine said:

"While designing the website, I kept in mind your desire for a clean, beautiful, easy-to-navigate website. Inspired by your wonderful (his)story and work ethic, I created a homepage that is both warm and inviting but also clear and simple, which I think speaks to the quality of your products."

Gifts Define

"At Gifts Define, “do our very best” is not a mission, it’s a statement! I truly love what I do and am obsessed in making my clients happy with the creations I make! When the time came to improve Gifts Define’s e-commerce website functionality, design and branding, I was completely overwhelmed! Did tons of research, I realized there are so many web design companies out there to choose from! Sometimes the thought of not being able to find the one who would understand the visions and aspirations of my creative company – is wearisome!

Then I thought of Arianne at Aeolidia. I first heard about Aeolidia back in 2006 when I was looking for a web designer to create my first website. Although then, she was not available to take on my project. Now, 7 years later, still trusting my initial judgment; I decided to contact Arianne once again and convinced that Aeolidia was the right company to take on this momentous project of mine!

What a decision well-made! My belief is when you expect the best, work with the absolute best! Arianne is very attentive in keeping my project ahead. There were some minor glitches in the beginning of the design process but she handled things promptly and professionally! Moreover, working closely with Lauren, Jon, Jena and Dewi have been delightful! I wish I could have the brains of these individuals in mine! Very organized, super creative, resourceful and simply brilliant in what they do!

I want to extend my big thanks to Arianne and team Aeolidia for making my dream website come true! Thank you for your endless patience in listening and understanding my ideas while thoughtfully bring them into realizations. After 5 months of dedication, commitment and enthusiasm from the Aeolidia’s team, I never thought that I’d be so pleased and proud to have a fabulous website to represent Gifts Define in front of millions…. Thank you!"

"The talented team at Aeolidia created a happy and playful website for my infant potty training blog and shop! Its fresh and simple design pulls people in and keeps them engaged!

The lovely and talented Zaara (KittenChops) got my project off to an amazing start with a cheerful logo and set of illustrations. She nailed my creative brief perfectly and really laid down the foundation to send a powerful branding message about my company and site. Lauren then ran with the logo and illustrations by bringing all the visual elements together and weaving it into a beautiful and easy to navigate website. Jon then stepped in and did his coding magic, patiently explaining all the technical details along the way. Keenan, the project manager, keeps the project running smoothly with clearly laid out milestones and deadlines for all project members. I couldn't be happier with the result!"

Meg collaborated with Stephanie on the design of her site, and we created a simple and clean Cartkeeper shop, with the ability to browse by material, by use, or by designer.

Jen brought us a logo which was a bit too stiff and formal for her brand, so Melissa loosened it up with some elegant, feminine illustrations, and carried the adjusted style on over to print work, such as hang tags, packaging, letterhead, and more.

Shalon created a website that celebrates wandering, with a simple mobile theme for visitors on smartphones.

Margot designed a clean, modern, and pretty website for Jennifer's organic cotton fabric shop. The collections are displayed in a clever way that showcases how they all look together, and also makes it easy to choose coordinating fabrics from the collection once you're viewing a single fabric's details.

Lana's Shop

Lana's Shop
Margot created a quirky, friendly portfolio site for Lana's illustration work. The redesign from her original site includes less clicking/more scrolling, Lana's work living on the homepage, as well as giving people and idea of her depth as an artist.
