Here is how the process of creating a site usually works. Design
Our foremost goal is to create a website that you are going to love. That means that the design process will be very important. To begin, we will ask you for as much information and content as you have. Things that help us come up with a design can be a logo, images, drawings, photos, colors, or fonts, along with any preferences you have about other style issues. If you have any content ready such as text or photos, this will help us create an outline of the navigation of your site. When we have a good idea of what you want your site to look like, and how to lay out your content, we will come up with an initial design or two. At this point, we send you the design concept(s) for your approval, and we talk over any changes or improvements to the design. Coding
Once you are completely happy with the look we have come up with, we begin to create the actual website. We are very picky about doing the HTML coding! We write our code by hand, and to the latest XHTML standards. This may mean nothing to you in a technical sense, but it does mean that nothing on your website should be broken or missing, and it will be easy for you to update the site yourself, or for a future webmaster to update. The strict coding, combined with our rigorous testing, will ensure that your site looks similar in all browsers and across all platforms. During the coding stage, we will add your content, work on your photos, and put everything together. Testing
When the site is almost ready to go, it's time to run it through the testing phase. Even if the site looks perfect to you and us, it could look incredibly strange for users with different computer set ups than you have. This is where a thorough testing saves the day. We conduct these basic tests for all sites we create:
As you can see, once the testing phase is complete, you can be confident that your site is working properly and everything is shipshape! |
